Giving Recommendations Overview

In the aftermath of Tropical Storm Irene, the Community Foundation divided its giving recommendations into three areas: short-term relief, short- to mid-term support, and long-term recovery.

After Tropical Storm Irene, we directed donors interested in short-term relief to the Red Cross, the Vermont Foodbank, and the local Community Action Councils (CACs), organizations that were coordinating critical, on-the-ground relief for flood victims.
