The Mobile Home Program
This program, managed by the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO), was established in partnership with the Vermont Community Foundation, the Vermont Disaster Relief Fund, the Agency of Commerce, and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor to provide immediate support for mobile home park relief efforts in Vermont following Tropical Storm Irene. Sixteen mobile home parks across the state suffered severe damage as a result of the storm. CVOEO is working closely with its partners and with mobile home park residents to allocate support. The first priority of this program is to pay for demolition and removal of destroyed and dangerous mobile homes at no cost to residents.
The Mobile Home Program Fund at the Community Foundation is no longer accepting contributions. All collected donations have been distributed to CVOEO, who is continuing to work with mobile home residents on the removal of condemned and destroyed homes.
