The Community Foundation has compiled a comprehensive list of Irene recovery resources. This list will be useful for people researching giving options, as well as those seeking assistance. It is divided into statewide, county/regional, and local (by town) categories. 

If you have been affected

• The Vermont Long-Term Disaster Recovery Group (VLTDRG) was created to raise money for — and allocate money from — the Vermont Disaster Relief Fund.

• Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) 
• Business Assistance: The Agency of Commerce and Community Development has set up a referral number for businesses seeking assistance: 802-828-3211.

• The Preservation Trust of Vermont: Learn about or donate to repairing and rebuilding Vermont's historic covered bridges and other damaged historic buildings throughout the state.

• Fund for Displaced Artists: The Vermont Studio Center’s Displaced Artists Fund is offering a fellowship opportunity to a Vermont visual artist or writer affected by Tropical Storm Irene in 2011. Both fellowships include travel and materials stipends. Learn more and apply.
• Financial Planning Association Pro Bono Program: Because of the unprecedented destruction and disruption of people's lives as a result of this storm, the Northern New England Chapter of the Financial Planning Association will provide free, no strings attached, financial planning to those afflicted.
